Relationships with family and place

ancient rock
holy presence
greater weight of eternity
bearing down lightly, surely

ancient riverbed
hidden river
beauty here, water here
learn, be present

place holding tree
tree holding sap
sap holding life
life holding place

stars visit
gaze visits
gaze is body is mind
welcome to life

‘…As for us:
We must uncenter our minds from ourselves;
We must unhumanize our views a little,
and become confident
as the rock and ocean that we were made from’

(Robinson Jeffers, ‘Carmel Point’)
